Same peer-to-peer video calling, packaged as a real app — no browser tab required. Free, no account, open source.
One-click installer with a Start Menu shortcut — download and run.
Not on Google Play — this is a direct APK install. Android will warn about "unknown sources" the first time; that's normal for any app outside the Play Store.
Not planned yet. TalkPeer works fine in Safari on iOS in the meantime — open the web app directly.
Not planned yetDownloads open in a new tab — if your browser shows a popup-blocked warning, click it and choose "Allow" for this site.
Windows SmartScreen and Android's "unknown sources" prompt both show up because this app isn't signed with a paid certificate (a code-signing cert costs real money per year, and this is a free indie project) — not because anything is actually wrong. You'll see the same warning from any small developer's app distributed outside an official store.
You can verify what you're installing yourself: the full source is public at github.com/abirmahmud-ship-it/talkpeer-v2, MIT licensed. Both builds here are produced straight from that same repo via GitHub Actions — nothing hidden, nothing added after the fact.
TalkPeer connects calls peer-to-peer, so there's no server in the middle collecting your video or audio — and no accounts, so there's no user database to leak in the first place.
